I was born and raised in North Dakota. I grew up in the small town of Flasher, ND.
I started a "Traveling Gallery" of ND made art and products in January 2005.
In September 2005 I opened "Ritz Gallery and Gifts" on Broadway (main) in Linton, ND. I sell ND made
products and Art by ND Artists. Please check out some the talent I promote by clicking on the "Ritz Gallery" tab on
the top of your screen. I also offer room make-over services.
In July 2007 I opened Ritz Studio to the public. It's my personal art studio, in the basement
of the gallery, and is open to the public on Monday Nights 6:30 -9:30 and Saturday Mornings 9:30 am - 1:30 pm.

MORE ABOUT TRACIE
I have always loved to paint, interior walls mostly. I ran out of walls to paint one day, so I bought a roll of canvas
and kept painting. I started painting on canvas in March 2004. Almost all of my canvas paintings are "Brushless"
I use rollers, sponges, dowels, rags, handled sponges and anything I can think of (except bristle paint brushes) to create
my art. I paint "Brushless" because I have to be more creative that way...there have been many times that I wanted to
grab a brush (because it would be easier) but I always seem to find a way to create the look I want without using brushes.
I use latex paint because I have gallons of leftovers from painting interior walls. My art is rich with color
and texture. I love using several layers of different medium to create my art.
I also love to make "new again" pieces...I paint plain glass vases, lamps, plates. I also refinish "junk" items
and make them useful and beautiful again...new again! Check out some of these items by clicking on the "Painted Art
Glass" and "Other Painted Things" tabs on the top of this page.
I hope you enjoy your visit to my website, and return soon to see the new pieces that I will create!
